The slow and delicate wood roasting process takes place at the Lorusso e Cutugno State Prison in Turin. Here Pausa Cafè involves a group of prisoners in the roasting process, providing them social and work inclusion opportunities.
Terre Alte coffee producers are the guardians of a secular coffee production tradition that foresees that coffee is grown at high altitude in the shade of native perennial trees. Here producers directly provide their coffee to Pausa Café, without the involvement of further intermediaries and receive a fair price for their work.
